Righteous or Tyrant:
Today we look upward to the heavens where are hope comes from. Which king are we serving today?
Is the Righteous king who discerns and uplifts his people in your gaze? Or the Tyrant, one who chooses to pull rank, create judgment, does not weigh the cost, means to cause pain.
Who do we serve? Where are we looking for help?
John 3:16-18 The Message (MSG)
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.”
You see Jesus gave up himself to the people even allowed himself to be traded for Barabbas. The people not even noticing the sacrifice taking place right in front of them. Our Heavenly Father will give everything to love you and see you succeed in your life. The enemy only wants to see you trip and never rise to your destiny. Don’t let him have authority over your life, Jesus passed from this earth then raised from the dead to prove the very promise he walked in his short 30 years of life. God will not give up on you! He is Fighting for you! He is the Lion and the Lamb! Always gentle, yet never willing to back down! Discouragement is a seed planted by our own fear. Be encouraged, find your light!
Psalms 16:8-9 The Passion Translation
“I realize the Lord’s presence surrounds me continually.
Because He is close to me, always available,
My confidence will never be shaken.
My heart and soul explode with joy–full of glory!
Even my body will rest confident and secure.”
So who are you serving? The one who wants to rule you…. Or the one who will lift you up to stand on the throne with him?
Righteous is freedom. Tyranny is lost hope.
Walk in Hope!
