Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
When we are immersed in to the water during baptism, we identify ourselves with Jesus in his death and burial. When we are raised up out of the water, we identify ourselves with the Resurrection of Jesus and the hope of eternal life. Baptism also gives the rest of us an opportunity to celebrate with you!
